Canadian Advocacy Efforts
Statewide and International Advocacy
Beyond these regions, our interns conduct in-depth research on existing refugee protections in their respective states and provinces, working to identify gaps in support. They then advocate to their lawmakers for additional protections, such as expanded social services, improved legal pathways, and anti-discrimination measures.

For interns from countries where advocacy rights are limited, we provide opportunities to focus on underserved areas that may not receive as much attention from other team members. This ensures that refugee communities in overlooked regions receive the support and policy attention they need.

Additionally, our interns from Afghanistan and Tajikistan have taken the lead in advocating for refugee protections in Alberta, Canada, and Oregon, USA. Their efforts focus on strengthening policies that provide safe resettlement options, legal assistance, and access to education and employment opportunities for displaced individuals in these regions.

Through these initiatives, Compass 4 Humanity remains committed to fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for refugees, both in the United States and internationally.
